Spinning for Juvenile Diabetes
Pirates and people in tutus were among those in 29 teams who
cycled their hearts out to raise money for charity at a spinathon
in Salisbury. New Hall Hospital had a team and several New Hall
Hospital’s consultants’ teams took part in Salisbury Spin to Cure
Diabetes, which was organised by the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Fund (JDEF). Teams of five took part, taking turns to cycle
eight-minute interval sprints on static bikes. The atmosphere was
electric and intensely competitive, with enthusiastic cheering from
both fellow team members and spectators. The event raised over
£8,000.
