Ear, Nose and Throat

ENT is the investigation, diagnosis, management and surgical treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT) and associated parts of the head and neck.

Here at New Hall Hospital we see patients with a wide range of ENT conditions including:

•Ear problems (otology) – hearing loss and balance, Meniere's disease, tinnitus, vertigo, ear infections including mastoiditis, glue ear, perforated ear drum and protruding ears.

•Nose conditions (rhinology) - nasal disease, nose injuries, nasal tumours and polyps and sinus related conditions.

•Throat conditions – infected tonsils and adenoids, snoring and sleep apnoea, thyroid disorders, voice and swallowing issues.

•Head, neck and facial cancers.

Surgical procedures our consultant ENT surgeons regularly perform include: tonsillectomy, grommet insertion, adenoidectomy, tympanoplasty, myringoplasty, cholesteatoma and mastoid surgery, ossiculoplasty, stapedectomy, cochlear implant surgery, bone anchored hearing aid surgery, septoplasty, tracheostomy, endoscopic sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty. Some also offer facial cosmetic surgery such as rhinoplasty and pinnoplasty.

We provide allergy testing, lifestyle advice, therapy options for tinnitus and, devices to help with snoring. 

We work with well renowned and highly experienced ENT specialists, otherwise known as otolaryngologists. They provide the best ENT care for child and adult patients based on individual needs and using the latest techniques.
