Urology

Urology is the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the urinary system and reproductive tracts in men and of urinary disease in women. This includes the: ureters (tubes that connect the kidneys to the bladder), adrenal glands, bladder, urethra (tube that passes urine out of your body from the bladder) and male reproductive organs (testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate and penis).

New Hall Hospital provides a broad medical and surgical urological service. We medically manage conditions such as urinary tract infection, overactive bladder and prostate enlargement and we surgically treat conditions such as BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia - a non-cancerous enlargement or growth of the prostate gland), cancer (bladder, prostate, kidney, testicular, penile and urethral), kidney stones, penile curvature, testicular lumps, pelvic floor and vaginal prolapse problems, hydroceles and stress incontinence.

Our well regarded consultant urologists offer convenient appointments for general urology services as well as specialist areas of urology including: urogynaecology (care of women with pelvic floor dysfunction), andrology (male reproductive and urological problems unique to men), urolithiasis (urinary tract stones), paediatric urology and urological cancers.

We regularly perform the following procedures: cystoscopy, TURBT, adult circumcision, penile straightening, prostate biopsy, bladder cancer treatments, vasectomy and its reversal, stress incontinence treatments and TURP.
