Winners of Business of The Year Award
Monday 27 June 2016
New Hall Hospital is one of the proud winners of last week’s South Wiltshire Business of the Year Award 2016.
The City Hall Salisbury was the venue for the 2016 Awards night, with over 750 guests in attendance. The well-known 80s band, ABC, started the evening off with a surprise performance. Ceri Hurford-Jones and Karen Bosley from Spire FM, the local radio station in Salisbury, presented 14 awards to honour the best of local businesses. New Hall Hospital competed in 2 categories: Kim Truckle, Operations Manager at New Hall Hospital had been nominated for The Enterprise Network ‘Women in Business’ Award, for her great work over the year as project manager, overseeing the £4m investment at New Hall Hospital. Kim ended up as one of the finalists, (however judges shared, it had never been this close for the award) and she can be proud of this achievement. Kim herself said the support from staff she received after being nominated means more to her than any award.
Finally, the time came to announce the winner of the Business of the Year award in the over £5m turnover category and Charlotte Rodrigues and Rena Wiethaupt, Ramsay Marketing & PR executives for the South Central Region, found themselves on stage to collect the trophy. When interviewed, a flabbergasted Rena thanked all staff at New Hall for their hard work and pointed out the trophy is an achievement for everyone at New Hall Hospital.
The staff engagement committee and senior management team are already planning an event to thank everyone and celebrate this great achievement, the whole team at New Hall Hospital can be very proud.
Another success for one of the colleagues and friends of New Hall Hospital was achieved – Lyndon Jones, Consultant Podiatrist and his wife won the FSB ‘Small Business’ Award for Total Foot Health, their foot health clinic in Salisbury.
