Dr Mehta graduated from the University of Edinburgh School of Medicine in 1992. He completed his general medical training in the Newcastle area and then went on to undertake Specialist Training in Respiratory Medicine in Wales. He entered the Specialist Register in 2002 and is accredited in both General and Respiratory Medicine. Shortly after this he was appointed to his first Consultant Post in Bridgend, South Wales. In September 2014, Dr Mehta relocated to Wiltshire and has been in post as a Consultant Respiratory and General Physician at the Salisbury District Hospital ever since.
